Elma fought a long but positive battle against her cancer illness. She never complained about her illness and always thought there was someone worse off than herself. She received excellent care at Crosshouse Hospital from the consultants who travelled from the Beatson to carry out the clinics. She had two radiotherapy treatments at the Beatson and was always so grateful for the care and compassion she was shown throughout these visits.
