what i remember most about them

I’ve been reflecting a lot on my mum, on her life and on what made her who she was. The thing that stands out to me most, after of course her love for me and the family, was her incredible strength and resilience. This was something which I don’t think she gave herself enough credit for, but watching her the past few years I’ve been struck, and honestly so inspired and impressed by how she handled such incredibly difficult circumstances. For two years, my mum gave it her all, battling a very aggressive cancer, even beating it once, while also dealing with the loss of her own mum, my gran. That she kept fighting for as long as she did, with as much strength as she did is such a testament to her, no one could have asked her to do more. She was always someone we joked was scared of everything, but I suppose it’s those that face the most fear that can also show the most bravery, the most courage. The strength that it took to keep going through everything she did takes a level of willpower and resilience that I don't think many of us could match. That strength, along with everything else is something I’ll always remember about her.

what did they love most?

She loved her family, her son Andrew, husband Kenny and beloved Labrador Brodie. She loved her dad Hugh and mum Ann, and her siblings. She loved her friends, especially her best friend Margaret. She loved her work, she loved to travel, she loved fashion particularly bags and shoes, but above all she loved her son and husband.
