My dad got diagnosed in 2017 with metastatic gastric cancer. He was very poorly treated by both Stobhill Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary, but the Beatson actually took time to read his previous notes and learn about his illness. They really helped him when he was unwell and he was delighted that he got a real present on Christmas day (a dressing gown, if you are interested!) when he was in hospital. The Beatson tried so hard to help my dad and it was so unfortunate that it was his body that let him down in the end. He fought his illness until his very last breath.
