In Memory of Scott Devlin
In memory of our beloved Son, Brother, Brother in Law, Uncle, Nephew and friend to many. Scott was diagnosed with Cancer in January 2016. He underwent surgery and Chemotherapy between March and June 2016. Due to his condition (Downs Syndrome) he was reluctant to start the treatment and at times was really frightened. The staff in The Beatson Hospital were beyond amazing and really worked with the family to make Scott feel comfortable whilst ensuring he was being treated effectively. At one point he not only refused Chemotherapy but also paracetamol. Every day was a struggle but Doctor White and all the other Nurses really helped build trust with Scott. He completed his chemotherapy course and after spending almost four months in hospital he returned home. We were all so relieved and grateful to The Beatson Hospital for all their efforts. Sadly, the treatment that should have saved him clearly took its toll on his body and he suffered a Cardiac Arrest due to a DVT that he was receiving daily medication. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday 6th July 2016 surrounded by his Mum, Dad, Sister and Brother. We all miss him terribly and are heartbroken.

We at Rowatt Interiors would like to donate this money which was raised selling off carpet and curtain samples. The treatment you gave to Scott was most appreciated and we do this as a reminder of a very special person who was so very brave

Latest memory
Scott will be remembered for being fun loving, determined, stubborn, one who loved his food, drink, television, DVDs, magazines and Music. He loved Christmas and Birthdays, he loved his routine including going to the Pub on a Saturday for a pint and then a curry. Scott loved his own space but expected to be invited back to his Mum and Dads weekly for his favourite tea, fajitas. We will remember the fun times especially as children. He would have a monkey puppet Charlie and blame the puppet for any mischief that Scott would get up to. He loved spending time with his Dad, he could often be seen walking up to the pub with him. We will remember all the love and fun Scott brought to our our family and all the great times we had. We miss him enormously x
